In 2017, an animal rights activist who takes care of stray dogs in Colombo took in Athena. After some time there were problems with the other dogs and a new place for Athena had to be found. The lady contacted several organisation which all refused to take in the dog.
When a friend promised to bring Athena to Germany, we agreed to provide shelter for the three-legged dog until the departure.
Sadly, Athena was never taken to Germany and the costs for boarding, medicine and food were never paid. Athena is thus (yet) another dog nobody wants - forgotten by her own rescuer.
Once more, the Dog Care Clinic was the only organization helping out in an emergency situation but never received any support.
So we are in urgent need of kind sponsors allowing our disabled Athena a good life under our care.
