Ridi

Name: Ridi
Breed: Mix
Gender: Female
Age: ca 10 years and 6 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog for: 10 years and 2 months
Description:

Ridi was found by an animal friend who brought her to us. The wound on her left shoulder was full of maggots, and she was very skinny. We had to react immediately.

An emergency operation saved Ridi's life and thanks to our daily wound care she recovered nicely.

Her second life with the DCC had only just begun and we always hoped she'll be lucky enough to find a ReHome Place one day.

But the months passed and Ridi became too old for a ReHome......so - with a heavy heart - we decided to "buy" Ridi a place in our DCC 50+ Project, the social programme to support animals and people. Peggy joined her as company.

Now Ridi has a home for life, but every DCC 50+ place also implies additional monthly costs for us. In the DCC 50+ we not only provide free medical care for the dogs but also the poor elders are look after. In return for taking care of the dog(s) they receive a small monthly pension from the clinic. The DCC 50+ is a true success but unfortunately, it is also very costly.

Please help us to help dogs like Ridi and help us to continue the DCC 50+!

Sadly, Ridi passed of renal failure in February 2022. She had many happy years under our care.
