My name is Vicky and I am a stray dog.
When I was born I was different, not like my siblings. My leg is crippled and I cannot walk on it. They call it genetic defect. I was scratching along fighting for my food. That was not easy. Often I was attacked and chased off. This made me very sad because deep down I truly love humans. Because of my disability I am like dirt to them. Now, also my tail is hurting badly but nobody cares.
Luckily, two nice people found me. They told me I had a home now. And they said I was cute. Nobody had told me before!
I am Vicky and DCC has saved me.
Due to the limited space at DCC, we homed Vicky through our DCC 50+ program. She has found a loving home and we support her poor family with a monthly pension. In this way, we help people AND animals.
Sadly, Vicky passed after a sudden high fever. Rest in peace, darling!
