Since the vets in Colombo weren't able to help Berry, a dog with cancer, anymore our partner welfare organisation Embark sent him to us. His condition was shocking and more than concerning, he was riddled with cancer.
We studied the medical record and conducted detailed examinations which underlined his very bad condition. But we didn't give up on Berry.
In the beginning, he was fairly shy and it was difficult to administer the treatments. But Berry learned quickly that he was in safe hands and slowly came to trust us. He developed a good appetite and gained an astonishing five kilos in the first month.
His horrible wounds, too, healed better than we ever had dared to dream of. Of course, Berry is not 100 % healthy again (and never will be) but he can enjoy his life again. We will keep him as a resident on our clinic compound.
