Birgi was brought to us in a pitiful condition by a Dutch animal lover. He found this poor soul haggard, with rash and a crippled front paw hobbling across the road.
Of course we didn't hesitate to take Birgi in. We nursed her back up and amputated her front leg to restore her life quality. On her three legs she is a little whirlwind now but due to her disability she has no chance to find a home through our ReHome program.
She is yet another dog nobody wants and therefore we had to put her in our DCC 50+ program, our social project for people and animals.
Now, Birgi ahas a safe home and her foster family receives an (additional) income.
