Collien

Name: Collien
Breed: Mix
Gender: Female
Age: ca 14 years and 11 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog for: 12 years and 11 months
Description:

We found Collien in a pitiful condition and high pregnant(!) on one of our Daily Tours, we didn't hesitate to take her with us to the DCC.
Collien rode all well and we nursed her up to health. We also vaccinated and spayed her.

She was "too old" for a ReHome Place and due to her long time with us she got (too) attached to human company, so we couldn't just set her back on the street - unfortunately, she also didn't blend into one of the DCC packs.

So we took her - together with other dogs - to a staff member of ours who had agreed to give the dogs a home for life in compensation for having a wall built around his compound. Sadly, he didn't keep his promise - shortly after he had left the DCC he returned Collien, Samira and Otello. So we had to buy Collien a DCC 50+ Place..

Now, together with Samira and Otello she guarantees their poor foster parents an (additional) income as this social project combines animal welfare with the help for people in need.

In November 2023, Collien died of old age after spending many happy years as a DCC 50+ dog.

Run free, Collien. We are glad we were able to give you a carefree life!
