Completely haggard and with a tight cloth around her neck - that's how Lara was dumped in front of our clinic. Luckily, we found her in time as otherwise she would have probably choked to death.
In the clinic, we nursed her back to health and got her back to a normal weight. Already after a few weeks we were able to find her a family through our DCC 50+ social adoption scheme. She now lives with two other of our dogs at a poor couple's house. In return for taking care of them the seniors receive a monthly pension. They don't have any other income since the wife has to take care of her paralyzed husband.
Lara has found a loving home and the couple has stable financial support.
We check on our dogs through monthly unannounced visits and make sure Lara and her friends are doing fine.
Of course this all needs to be funded and so Lara and her parents are hoping for many kind sponsors.
