Moppi is "that sample" for a dog nobody wants...
When we caught Moppi - like many of his comrades - on our Daily Tours for neutering and vaccination he was already "too old" for a ReHome Place.
Of course the DCC does not just "kick dogs back" to the streets, but continues their care after the treatments, just Moppi got so used to theDCC, that he has never left the area in front of the clinic again.
...and he's always very punctual to show up at our gate when feeding time is close. We couldn't take him as yet another DCC Resident, but fortunately our DCC 50+ Program was started - so Moppi could be given a new home.
The DCC 50+ Program is a Social Project to help people and animals. The dogs in the program get adoptd by poor elder people who give them a nice home. For that the foster seniors receive a monthly pension of 35 Euro. All the dogs in the DCC 50+ are regularly visited by our staff and medical care is provided for free. Therefore, the clinic has to face an additional monthly cost of 70 Euro.
Moppi was one of the first dogs in our DCC 50+ program and lived many happy years. Sadly, in March 2022 he passed. He reached a proud age and we are happy we were able to provide it for him. Rest in peace, beloved Moppi.
