Princess came to us as half starved puppy with a severe skin disease.
We took care of her and "nursed her up" ....
She recovered quite well but it will take her some long time to become a true "Princess" and the hard times on the streets of Sri Lanka still take their toll.
She frequently suffers from tumors and never had a constant weight. Only over a long period of time we got control over this. Her itching skin and skin irritations, however, continued to worry us. By the end of 2014 we started the therapy with Apoquel which has lead to great improvement. Unfortunately, even up to day Apoquel is a scarce medicine and therefore very expensive.
Princess never came back to full health but lived a happy life at DCC. She passed in December 2022 and we miss her deeply.
