Sepp and his two siblings were only one month old when somebody dropped them like garbage in a cardboard box next to the road. Thanks to our frequent checks around the clinic premises we were able to find the three of them just in time.
We took the siblings in and nursed them up. Despite the early separation from their mother and their pitiful condition upon arrival in the clinic, the little ones developed nicely. Each of them even found a Rehome place.
When we picked up Sepp for his castration the family told us they didn't want to keep the dog. They were unhappy because Sepp was nibbling on their shoes. To spare the loving dog from any mistreatment we took him back with us - despite the fact that we were already packed to the roof.
Now, Sepp was "too old" for a new Rehome place and therefore we had to put him in our social project for people and animals, the DCC 50+ program. Like that Sepp was given a loving home with a poor family. In return for caring for Sepp the foster mum receives a monthly pension from us. The medical care is still provided by the DCC. We visit all of our DCC 50+ dogs (meanwhile there are more than 100) once a month.
Update: On January 23, 2025, Sepp was brought to the clinic as his condition worsened. He had stopped eating and was generally declining. After conducting the necessary blood tests, we unfortunately discovered that Sepp was suffering from acute kidney failure. At that point, treatment was no longer an option. Sadly, three days later, Sepp passed away.
