Sewandi's paw was rotting for weeks until her owners decided to bring her to us. They were so disgusted that they only touched Sewandi with gloves.
Allegedly, Sewandi had chewed off her own paw. In fact, it is a badly infected wound that was never treated. Sewandi must have suffered terrible agony and pain.
We were trying to save Sewandi's leg but in the end, we had to amputate it. Sewandi got used to it very quickly and stole the heart of one of our employees. He adopted Sewandi in August 2023. We visit her regularly and provide all future medical care free of charge.
Unfortunately, after two years without any issues, problems with the neighbors suddenly arose. They no longer wanted Sewandi to spend time on their property, even occasionally. To prevent anything worse from happening, we picked her up immediately and are now taking care of her at the DCC.
