Dany

Name: Dany
Breed: Mix
Gender: Female
Age: ca 8 years and 2 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 7 years and 11 months
Description:

One of our mobile rescue teams found Dany at the nearby Mihiripenna temple where she had been dumpedas a small puppy.

We took the little one in, dewormed and vaccinated her. We nursed her up until she was old enough for our rehome program but sadly nobody was interested in her. Brown female dogs are not very popular in Sri Lanka.

Since Dany loves human company we put her in our DCC 50+ program, the social program for humans and animals. Dany now lives together with a needy Sri Lankan family. Thanks to the DCC 50+ program the family now receives a monthly pension by the clinic. For them, this is a very important (additional) income. Of course we continue our medical care for Dany free of charge.

The DCC 50+ is a true win-win program. But sadly, the funding of it is at risk.
