Fini

Name: Fini

Gender: Female
Age: ca 8 years and 8 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 6 years and 8 months
Description:

An Austrian artist, residing in Sri Lanka most of the year, contacted us with a plea for help. He was searching for a two-month shelter for his dog until he would return back to the island. Since Fini had a small wound on the leg which needed treatment we agreed to take her in.

Upon arrival the "small" wound turned out to be "slightly" bigger than we were told.

But that wasn't all: also the promised payments never were done. After many excuses the Austrian never replied to our e-mails and at the end the whole story turned out as we were fearing: the "loved" pet dog Fini was never picked up.

Later, we found comments in a Facebook group showing that the Austrian wasn't willing to pay the fees for a proper dog pension. Shamelessly, we were exploited and poor Fini was abandoned.

There was no hope to get her adopted through our rehome program because of her age and so we put her in our DCC 50+ program. The social adoption scheme to help people and animals in need. Her poor foster mom takes care of Fini and receives a monthly pension in return. It is a true win-win situation but very costly for us.

Therefore, we are urgently seeking sponsors for Fini!
Please help us to help! The useless owner is not Fini's fault
