Blacky III

Name: Blacky III
Breed: German Shepherd
Gender: Female
Age: ca 11 years and 10 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog for: 10 years and 6 months
Description:

Blacky III had an owner, most unfortunately that owner only brought her to us when it was almost too late for her....

This garsh wound stayed untreated for weeks, if not months and when Blacky III was finally brought to us she was barely alive.

By devoted care we were able to nurse her back to health, but decided to not return her to her former owner.

Instead we got her a good DCC ReHome place, so we could continue to care for her and to make sure she'll have a better future life - here she is welcomed by her new "FosterDaddy"...

On one of our checks we had to notice, that Blacky III was loosing more and more weight in spite of the good care.

So we took her to the clinic and special tests showed Blacky III was suffering of pancreatic insufficiency.

So she needed highly expensive enzymes mixed with his food on a daily basis, without them she was not able to  absorb and digest the food for her body - thus Blacky III would have starving slowly...

To ensure, that Blacky III will get her everyday medicine we had to return her to one of our external packs.

She spent a happy time there with us,  till the neglect and abuse of the past took their toll and she had to bye us forever in January 2019. Run free Blacky - we'll never forget you !
