Ratal & Sansika

Name: Ratal & Sansika
Breed: Mix
Gender: Female
Age: ca 11 years and 1 month
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog for: 11 years
Description:

Like many of their companions in misfortune we found Ratal and Sansika as half starved pups on our Daily Tours. We nursed them up and were happy, when we found a ReHome Place for them.

It came as a shock to us when we discovered during our check that their new foster parents (or better uncaring parents) didn't bother to look after them at all. So in no time fast healthy, lively pups turned into scared, haggard dogs, tied to a chain and sitting in their own urine.

Immediately, we rescued Ratal and Sansika (again) and brought them to safety. Now, the long journey started to heal the wounds of neglect and to reinforce their self-confidence.
By now, they were "too old" for a new ReHome and  so we took care for Ratal and Sansika in one of the external packs with a long-time DCC staff member.

But the employee left the DCC and - against all agreements - he kicked out Ratal, Sansika and the whole pack.

So to finally end their odyssey we put them in our DCC 50+ Program, the social project to help people and animals. For support, another DCC dog, Lolita, has joined them. A small pack the three enjoyed a happy life, till Sansika's history took its toll in May 2017 and she left much too early. Sadly, three years later Ratal followed her.
