Tomi

Name: Tomi
Breed: Mix
Gender: Male
Age: ca 13 years and 4 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog for: 6 years and 6 months
Description:

Tomi was another "problem child" we took in from another organisation called Embark. He had gotten treatment at a different clinic but had suffered from heavy weightloss and used to be in a cage without much human contact most of the time - this is a no-go, especially for a heavily disabled dog like Tomi!

Since we know how important the mental wellbeing is for a good recovery we took Tomi in.

At the clinic we discovered that Tomi suffered from tick fever which hadn't been treated at all. The disease had alread affected his liver.

We did not only treat his tick fever but are fighting hard every day to increase his overall condition. He received daily physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and therapeutical massages. He spent his days on our beautiful compound with a lot of human contact. We did our best, but not every fight can be won. His liver was too badly affected.

He could lead his life in dignity and was allowed to go in the presence of friends.

We will miss you Tomi, but the memory will last forever!
