Together with four other siblings, we found Cindy as a tiny puppy in the bushes next to the clinic. The puppies were only four weeks old and had simply been abandoned. We don't know if there were more siblings. We brought the five that we could find to safety.
Actually, they urgently needed their mother, and it was a race against time to get them through the first difficult weeks. In fact, the puppies were so weak that only Cindy survived from the litter. Despite her dramatic past, Cindy has developed wonderfully and was a lively, curious puppy.
Sadly, in October 2025 we had to say goodbye to litte Cindy. Her immune system had been severely weakened by life on the streets and being taken from her mother far too early. As a result, she succumbed to a serious case of babesiosis. We are deeply saddened by this loss.
