An apparently completely overstrained owner brought his female Rottweiler Leo(nie) to us. We were shocked by the picture of misery.
Leonie was haggard, her eyes completely clotted and she had countless infections all over her body due to a severe Demodicosis. Most likely, her owner had bought her as some kind of status symbol ignoring the fact he would have to provide for and take care of her, too.
Leonie was finally back to health. However, due do bad breeding her immune system was still weak. She had to stay under our care and so we had found her a loving home with an animal friend from Unawatuna. Sadly, Leonie got cancer and died in April 2023.
