Description:

Once bought as a puppy, German shepherd Vanessa was simply left on the street. Her family probably didn't feel like taking care of the sick dog anymore. She certainly comes from bad breeding, because blood tests in the clinic showed a very weak immune system. This makes her very susceptible to diseases and so she was simply rejected by her owners.

Vanessa was five years old and starving when we found her on the street.

he suffered from mange and babesiosis. After admission, a weeks-long treatment followed. We treated her illnesses and rebuilt her immune system.

As a former pet and with her history, she wouldn't do well on the street. So we kept Vanessa with us and she is now one of our residents.
