Foreigners informed us about an abandonded dobermann in front of their house. When our team arrived at site they were shocked to find a completely neglected, skinny and sick pedigree bitch. Probably, Fabi wasn't 'useful' for the breeder anymore and simply dumped on the street leaving her to her fate. Regularly, we are confronted with neglected and sick pedigree dogs in Sri Lanka.
We gave Fabi a second life in our clinic. We nursed her, healed her diseases and treated her with much love.
As the foreigner didn't contribute to Fabi's rescue financially, we had to cover all treatment costs.
Fabi has found a loving home with one of our employees where we continued our care for her.
Despite her hard past Fabi reached an age of almost 10 years when she sadly passed in November 2020. We miss her deeply but at the same time we are glad she had many happy years under our care.
