Nafta

Name: Nafta
Breed: Mix
Gender: Female
Age: ca 13 years and 3 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog for: 13 years and 1 month
Description:

Like (too) many others Nafta was discarded in front of our gate when she was only a little puppy.

We nursed Nafta up, vaccinated and neutered her - in all that time she got very attached to us and also "too old" for a ReHome Place.

So we gave her into one of our external packs at the place of one of our staff members but continued to provide her with food and medicine via our Daily Tours. In spite he had obliged himself to take care for his foster dogs after leaving the project he didn't keep his promise and we had to find out, he wasn't taking good care of them at all.

Nafta and her "comrades" had lost weight and their - formerly nice shelter -was only a ruin....Of course we took Nafta and her doggy friends back to us immediately and Nafta was lucky enough to find a place in our DCC 50+ Program. Her DCC 50+ foster dad took great care of Nafta and we were shocked when we heard the news about him passing because of an heart attack. We had to take Nafta back and place her with a new DCC 50+ family.

The DCC 50+ is an innovative social project according to our Credo - "help for animals and people" that deserves YOUR support, too.

In February 2020 Nafta passed due to renal failure.
