Lexy was brought to us by her owner. Her right hin leg was shattered and we had to amputate it.
After the operation, the poor thing got babesiosis and had to stay in the clinic for another three weeks for treatment. Then, finally, the time had come and Lexy could be discharged. But our calls to the owner were in vain. Lexy was never picked up again. Unfortunately, disabled dogs are not worth anything in the eyes of most people here.
We integrated Lexy into one of our packs and there she now lives as a DCC resident since 2019.
She was rejected by her owner but found a home with us. The only thing Lexy is now missing are loving sponsors.
