The "old" Clinic
The "Old Clinic" was opened in 2007 and marks the beginning of the success story of DCC. We are equipped to Western standard and can conduct major surgeries. At the Old Clinic we also take care of our puppies and dumped rescue dogs.

The "New Clinic"
We save lives at the so-called "New Clinic" on 365 days of the year. Our vets conduct treatments, give vaccinations and perform neuterings. All this is free of charge for poor locals.

The neutered and treated strays returned to their "stomping grounds" are not simply abandoned to face a lone future back on the streets of Sri Lanka. We continue to provide for them via our daily tours.

Animals in Sri Lanka
An animal's life is far from easy in Sri Lanka. There is an estimated number of 40 million stray dogs. Most of them suffer from hunger and illnesses which are not treated. We are their only hope.

Our special dogs
We have a large number of severly disabled dogs who live at their own area at the clinic. It is designed according to their special needs. Every dog has deserved a chance in life!

Our DCC 50+
Our social adoption scheme helps animals AND people. Seniors receive a monthly pension in return of adopting one of our dogs. It is a true win-win situation!

Marina Möbius has been awarded the Medal of Merit
Marina Möbius has been awarded the Medal of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. It is the the most valuable award for voluntary work given by the government.
Ungulates
Since 2021, we have also been taking in ungulates in need. We have created a separate area for them. Our cows, goats and donkeys are also happy to have sponsors!

We at DCC
Helping animals and people in Sri Lanka has been our credo since 2007. Through consistent castration and vaccination programs, we reduce the number of street dogs and contain diseases. Inside and outside the clinic, we are at work for Sri Lanka's dogs every day.

The DCC success story began in 2007 with the “Old Clinic”. Here we can perform operations and provide for intensive care patients according to western standards. We also look after our puppies and abandoned dogs at the Old Clinic.
