Piwi

Name: Piwi
Breed: Mix
Gender: Female
Age: ca 11 years and 10 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 3 years and 4 months
Description:

A Sinhalese woman informed us about a female dog on the street who was unable to get up on her own. When we examined her in the clinic, it turned out that she had a neurological condition. The reason for this is unclear. We suspect a blow to the head - either by human hands or an accident.

Piwi is a lovely dog and loves to be around humans. We were able to give her more mobility through months of physiotherapy and oil massages but she is still disabled.

We were super happy when our colleague Ranjith adopted her. Piwi now lives with him and we will continue to take care of her. We visit all dogs that live with employees (and that's almost 150!) monthly.

Now we are urgently looking for sponsors who can help us to cover the costs for the check-ups and further medical care.
