Rudi is the first farm animal that we have admitted to the Dog Care Clinic.
The bull dragged himself on three legs through the murderous Sri Lankan traffic. It was only a matter of time before he would get run over.
We became aware of Rudi through a video on Facebook. Although it was shared 13,000 times, no one saved the poor animal. We couldn't stand idly by and prepared an area for him.
Fortunately we were able to find Rudi and bring him to us. He lacks the entire hoof on his right hind leg, which severely limits his mobility.
Sadly, in October 2025, Rudi succumbed to a serious parasitic illness. We are very saddened by his passing, and saying goodbye was difficult.
But we’re grateful that he had a safe place with us during his final years and no longer had to live on the streets.
