Daffy

Name: Daffy
Breed: Mix
Gender: Female
Age: ca 9 years and 6 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog for: 8 years and 11 months
Description:

Daffy was brought to us with bone fractures and open wounds on her front legs. Her carpal bones were fractured and exposed.
At another clinic, she was bandaged and stabilized. Because Daffy spent the entire time there confined to a crate with little contact with people or other dogs, her recovery stagnated and she lost weight.

After arriving at our clinic, she truly began to thrive and quickly gained weight. Her injuries healed; however, her carpal bones never fused properly, leaving her front limbs permanently deformed. Due to the severity of her disability, Daffy remained a long-term care case. In addition, her liver and pancreatic values were so low that we had to completely rebuild her organ functions.

Daffy remained in our care for her entire life and was looked after with great affection.

At the beginning of February, Daffy passed away peacefully after a long and happy life as a DCC dog. We are deeply saddened by her loss, as Daffy was a very special dog.
Although we are grateful that she was able to spend such a long and wonderful life with us, she will leave a great void. Run free, Daffy.
