Eyda was found on one of our Daily Tours, she was laced with Ticks and in a pitiful condition...
...we didn't hesitate a moment to take her with us to nurse her back to health.
Eyda recovered slowly, but for a ReHome she was "too old", for yet another DCC Resident was no space - but just putting her back on the street was no option for us.
Fortunately, our DCC 50+ Program was already started - so Eyda was a lucky to find a new home.
The DCC 50+ Program is a social project to help people and animals
Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our Eyda in January 2026. At the age of 10, she was diagnosed with cancer and, unfortunately, no longer responded to medication. Despite everything, we are very grateful that she was able to experience so many wonderful years at the DCC and with her 50+ family.
