Little Glamour was completely frightened when we found her on a pile of debris close to the clinic. It took our staff member a lot of effort and patience to finally catch her and bring her into the clinic.
We nursed her up and vaccinated her. Thanks to continuous care and attention Glamour started to trust us. She finally was self-conscious enough to be re-homed. Unfortunately, she was returned after a short time because she had nibbled on her owner's shoes.
Despite our limited capacities we took Glamour back. From that day forward she lived in one of our packs on the clinic grounds.
Glamour passed away in June 2026 due to sudden kidney failure. We are heartbroken by the loss of Glamour. She was 11 years old and had been part of the DCC family for almost her entire life. At the same time, we are grateful that Glamour was so fortunate to spend her life with us as a DCC dog, because only very few dogs in Sri Lanka ever experience love, safety, and genuine care. Goodbye, dear old girl. We will never forget you.
