Happy was brought to us from Boosa by two animal lovers. He had a big cut which we were able to treat at the clinic.
Since Happy shouldn't go back to the street his rescuers are sponsoring a home through our DCC 50+ program.
In this innovative and very succesful social adoption scheme needy elders give a home to one of our dogs and receive a monthly pension in return. In a country like Sri Lanka where there is no proper pension scheme this (additional) income secures livelihoods.
We check the dogs every month and provide all vaccinations and needed treatments free of charge. The DCC 50+ program is a true win-win situation for animals and people.
End of 2018 Happy's condition suddenly worsened and he passed totally unexpected. Run free Happy. We will never forget you!
