Jeny suffered a serious injury to her elbow and front leg in an accident. It quickly became clear that an amputation was inevitable. We operated on Jeny the same day and accompanied her entire aftercare. As a German shepherd, it was initially difficult for her to get along on three legs. But eventually she got the hang of it and the muscles were strong enough to support her weight. Jeny was completely healthy again.
Unfortunately, as a handicapped dog, she was worthless in the eyes of her owner. He never came to pick her up.
So Jeny was another "forgotten" owner dog in our clinic. Of course she couldn't be put on the street and so she stayed with us.
InJuly 2024 Jeny tested positive for babesiosis. Due to very weak kidney values she was not able to fight the infection successfully. We had to let her go....
