Little Limppie was found injured and completely terrified at the side of the road as a puppy.
She was most likely part of an unwanted litter – brown fur and not a purebred – which, sadly, is often reason enough for many people in Sri Lanka to abandon a motherless young dog.
We provided Limppie with medical care and raised her with great care and affection.
It soon became clear that, despite her rough start in life, she had not suffered any psychological trauma. On the contrary – Limppie was friendly and open towards both humans and other dogs, and has grown into a cheerful and spirited dog.
For a long time, she lived in a loving home that she found through our ReHome program. Her medical care was consistently ensured by us.
In November 2025, her family and we sadly had to say goodbye to Limppie. However, we are grateful that, despite all the initial difficulties, she was able to live such a beautiful life.
