Once again we were made aware of a pedigree dog in catastrophic condition. This Rottweiler was badly injured and sick. The innumerable old wounds stank of dead flesh and rot. His eyes were filled with sadness. He had babesiosis and his blood counts were critical.
We had named him Micha. His prognosis wasn’t good, but this dog, too, deserved someone to fight for him. And in fact, under our care he had already made great progress, and in May 2021 he was adopted by a wonderful family.
Through our rehoming program, we of course continued to look after him.
Then, in November 2025, came the terrible shock: His family brought him back to us after Micha had been bitten by a venomous snake. We fought for him, but sadly he passed away in our arms.
