It was not even 07.00 in the morning and our blood started boiling by the sight of this poor dog. We can’t even point out all the things that are wrong in this picture but let us break it down for you:
- A dumped dog outside our clinic with a rope around his neck to tie him up
- The huge amount of flies covering his sad eyes
- His furless body covered in dirt.
Now the things you don’t see in this picture. Mr. Potter was 8 years old when we found him and was somebody’s pet. He was cared for until he got a fungal infection and then he was dumped like he was not a living, breathing loyal friend but a pile of garbage. We can’t even imagine what this good guy had to go through to deserve this. We, of course, took him in and nursed him back to health.
After two wonderful years with us at the DCC – despite his terrible overall condition and the consequences of his malnutrition – he has now passed away in August 2025.
We will miss you dearly, Mr. Potter!
Mr. Potter was supported by:
Gabriele and Wolfgang Krieger
Mr Potter will stay with us for the rest of this life.
He really deserves kind sponsors!
