Pingo came to us in June 2021. He was paralyzed due to an accident and would have led a miserable life on the streets of Sri Lanka. We therefore took him in and immediately took him to our hearts.
He was full of courage to live and settled in well in his new home from the very first moment. Pingo lived in one of our handicapped packs. In several areas we take care of our severely disabled dogs and give them a life in dignity!
Sadly, Pingo's condition deteriorated in early July 2026. He began biting himself, causing severe wounds that would no longer heal.
Despite every effort and intensive treatment, Pingo's condition did not improve. When he started chewing on his own limbs, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go and spare him further suffering.
Dear little Pingo, we already miss you so much. We had hoped you would enjoy a few more happy years at the DCC. Run free, dear friend. We will never forget you, and you will always remain in our hearts.
