We found Yamu on one of our tours, she suffered from a severe Skin Desease....
With loving care we were able to nurse her up....
Unfortunately, the long sickness had weakened her immune system so badly, that she could never be conveyed in a foster family. So, Yamu became one of our Residents we care for daily.
Due to her advanced age and numerous underlying health conditions, Yamu had grown increasingly weaker over the past few months, and we were no longer able to help her with medication. When she became completely blind in July 2026, she lost her will to live. At the age of fourteen, she passed away peacefully.
Yamu lived with us at the clinic for almost 14 years – it is hard to imagine that she is no longer here. We already miss our little girl so much. At the same time, we are grateful that we were able to give her such a long and happy life with us. Here, Yamu experienced what love and security truly mean, and that brings us at least a small measure of comfort.
Run free, dear Yamu, and may you arrive safely at the Rainbow Bridge. We will never forget you, sweet old girl.
