Bumble has endured unimaginable hardship in his four years on the streets. He was likely mistreated as a puppy and learned early on to fear people. Constantly driven away while searching for food, one day he finally tried to defend himself and bared his teeth — and that was when things turned truly brutal. People attacked him with stones and sticks, going to kill him.
Thankfully, some brave witnesses stepped in and called us. We rushed to the scene and were able to save Bumble just in time.
With patience, love, and care, we slowly helped him get used to people and other animals again. We hoped to include him in our 50+ program, but his deep mistrust of humans proved too strong. That’s why Bumble now lives safely and peacefully at the DCC, where he finally feels secure and loved.
