Puppy girl Elinor didn’t have an easy start in life. One morning, our second chairwoman Susanna discovered her all alone by the side of the road on her way to the clinic.

What Elinor had already been through is hard to imagine. During her initial examination, it immediately became clear: not only was she suffering from skin problems, but she had also already been spayed – at just two months old!
Such an early spay is medically highly questionable and can lead to long-term health issues.
Of course, we are grateful whenever stray animals are sterilized to prevent further suffering – but not at the expense of their health. A young dog should at least have reached sexual maturity before undergoing such a procedure.

Fortunately, Elinor recovered well and has grown into a wonderful, joyful young dog. She is healthy so far, curious, and full of life.

For a while, it seemed as though Elinor had already found her forever home – she was adopted through our ReHome program. But her happiness was short-lived.
During one of our routine follow-up visits, we were shocked by what we found: Elinor was tied to a short chain – alone, without protection or care. No living being should ever have to endure that!
We didn’t hesitate for a moment and brought her back to us immediately.

Today, Elinor is a cherished member of the Dog Care Clinic family. She roams freely on the grounds of our volunteer house, is part of a wonderful pack, and is lovingly cared for by people who appreciate her – just the way she is.

But to ensure that Elinor can continue to live a safe and sheltered life, she needs support. She is urgently looking for sponsors to accompany her on her journey.
