Liya and two siblings were found on the street by a Sri Lankan woman. Nobody knew where the mother was. All three puppies were in a desperate condition when the animal-loving local resident took them in and tried her best. But after a few days two of the puppies died. Only Liya survived. However, she also needed urgent medical help and so the rescuer brought the little dog to us.
Her strong fungal infection caused excruciating itching and the constant scratching caused injuries to Liya's skin.
We nursed her back to health over weeks and now hope that she will find a good family.
Female dogs have a particularly difficult time and therefore we are urgently looking for animal-loving sponsors.
