Ares was still a puppy when he came to us at the DCC. Together with five siblings, he was abandoned at the school in our village. We took the little ones in and nursed them back to health.
While we were to find homes for all of Ares' siblings, nobody wanted to adopt him. He had an eye disease. Unfortunately, our treatment didn't work and so we had to amputate his eye in November 2018. Ares survived the operation without any complications, but nobody wanted to take him in as a one-eyed dog. So Ares became another resident on our clinic grounds.
