Benji

Name: Benji
Breed: Mix
Gender: Female
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 4 years and 6 months
Description:

Sadly, it is by far not the first time an owner has "forgotten" his pet dog after an amputation. Benji met with an accident in October 2019 and was brought to us. One of her hind legs was smashed and the other one severly injured as well. An amputation was inevitable.

Despite being very homesick Benji recovered well after the surgery and it took her a few days only to get used to her new tripod life. However, the days passed and there was no sign of life of her owner. He had lost interest in his dog.

Luckily, Benji felt really comfy in her new dog pack and gained quickly self-confidence. In October 2020, we rehomed her together with two doggy friends as part of our DCC 50+ social doption scheme. Benji has now found a home and we support her poor family financially. Every month we check on her well-being.

To cover the costs for her family, check-up visits and medical care (whenever necessary) we urgently need kind sponsors.
