We don't know exactly what happened to Bolt, but when he came to us at the clinic, he had signs of paralysis in his back. His spine was injured. He had probably had an accident or been beaten by an animal abuser. Due to his disability, he was inferior to the other dogs on the street in the fight for territory and food. Our partner organization Embark rescued Bolt from the streets and brought him to us so that he could lead a well-cared-for life at the Dog Care Clinic.
Disabled dogs are considered worthless in Sri Lanka and have no chance of being rehomed. Bolt was never adopted. He now spends happy years with us at the DCC.
