Paralyzed dogs like Kelly have no chance of survival on the streets of Sri Lanka. In the hard fight for the few available resources, they cannot prevail against other dogs. By dragging their hind legs along the ground, they sustain serious injuries. At the Dog Care Clinic, we have created separate areas for severely disabled dogs so that they can live a cared-for dignified life.
In September 2021, we took Kelly in when Embark - another animal welfare organization in Sri Lanka - asked us for help. At the time, she was only one year old and had her whole life ahead of her. Kelly is a little whirlwind and loves contact with people.
