Rosi

Name: Rosi
Breed: Mix
Gender: Female
Age: ca 1 year and 7 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 1 year and 4 months
Description:

Rosi was a "community dog", i.e. she lived on the streets but was (more or less) well taken care of by the local residents. When she had an accident, she was taken to the vet, which is not a given here! The "vet" amputated half of Rosi's front leg and she was back on the street with her unhealed stump. Further wound care was left to the local residents, who were of course overwhelmed with it.

Rosi was still a puppy and already had to endure such torments. Luckily she was now brought to us. At the age of three months she had to be operated under general anesthesia for the second time. We removed the entire leg and saved her life. After the operation, Rosi recovered well, but then suddenly became seriously ill. We had to fight for her, but Rosi made it! As a disabled dog, we didn't want to put her back on the street, so she now lives with us on the clinic grounds.
