Late one evening, little Lou was brought to the clinic by local residents. They had witnessed the helpless puppy being hit by a tuk-tuk.
Unfortunately, drivers here rarely stop for animals on the road. This puts the countless stray dogs and cats in danger every single day – and far too often, these encounters end in severe injuries or even death.
Since her accident, Lou has been paralysed and can no longer move her hind legs. Despite massages, physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, sadly, the improvement we had hoped for never came.
That’s why we took Lou into our care and welcomed her into one of our specially designed Disabled Areas. There, we do everything we can to help her move around as safely and comfortably as possible.
Lou will need intensive care and medical treatment for the rest of her life. But despite her disability, she deserves to live a life filled with dignity, safety and love.
To make this possible, we depend on kind-hearted people like you who support our dogs through sponsorships.
Has Lou touched your heart? Would you like to become her sponsor and help give her the safe and loving life she deserves?
