We don't know exactly what happened to Roxy. We discovered her on one of our field trips. She had an old wound that had never been treated. When we discovered her, the wound was so badly infected that we had to amputate the dog's leg. Roxy was in generally poor condition. She was obviously not coping well on the street. As a disabled dog, there was no way she could return to the street. So Rexy stayed with us and can now lead a cared-for life as a DCC resident. She clearly feels at home in her pack and the only thing she needs for her happiness is loving sponsors.
