Description:

My life started on the dirty streets of Sri Lanka and my five babies were born on the street, too. Life as a stray is difficult. I have to walk long distances to find food. Nobody helps me and nobody brakes for me. One day, when I was looking for food again, suddenly - BAAAM - I got hit. It hurt so much‼ ️ I can't remember exactly. I only remember that I rolled over the street and suddenly everything was dark. I couldn't see my babies anymore !! That was so terrible !! They whined and I dragged myself blindly to them. What had happened to my eyes⁉️ The pain was unbearable. Then suddenly someone lifted me up. I screamed. I didn't want to get away from my babies. They were only four weeks old! But luckily we weren't separated. We all got rescued. Now we're in a clinic and I'm finally out of pain, but I'll never be able to see again.

My eyes had to be removed.

In the first few weeks everything was great but then we got sick and I lost two of my babies. I was also feeling very weak those days....

However, DCC managed to safe us all and my precious babies all got adopted by kind people. I am now a resident at DCC which means I can stay here forever which is awesome!

My name is Zoe and I'm blind. DCC saved me and my babies!
