Benjamin was more dead than alive when we found him during one of <link 25#310 - internal-link "Opens internal link in current window">our tours</link> on the streets of Sri Lanka. With a weight of a mere 7.3 kg this grown-up male dog was worringly haggard. Tests in the clinic reveiled a weak immune system and demodicosis.
Benjamin was only one year old but must have had experienced horrible things.
At the clinic, he successfully gained 1.5 kg of weight in less than a week and started to gain trust. We were treating his Demodicosis and gave our best to strengthen his immune system so he could live a happy life.
After some time Benjamin was back to health and we were able to bring him back to his known territory. We managed to integrate him on our daily feeding tour and continue our care.
Update: We haven't seen Benjamin for quite some time now and are fearing he has either moved further or has died.
