Giggle

Name: Giggle
Breed: Mix
Gender: Female
Age: ca 4 years and 10 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 4 years and 8 months
Description:

Giggle was abandoned as puppy along with her five siblings. Although we were already completely overcrowded, we also took in these little ones. Otherwise they would have died miserably on the street. We fought for the lives of the puppies, but they were already weakened from the rigors of life on the streets. Glossy lost three of her siblings. As the only remaining females Giggle and sister Glossy grew into healthy, beautiful teens, but due to their gender, they unfortunately never got adopted.

Due to the lack of space in the clinic, we finally decided to place them through our DCC 50+ program. The DCC 50+ program is our strongest social project, through which we combine animal welfare with humanitarian aid. Elderly needy locals adopt one of our "unwanted" dogs and receive a monthly pension from us in exchange for caring for the animals. So the dogs are taken care of and the poor family has a regular income. A real win-win situation.

Sadly, Glossy died after a cobra bite in May 2023. We still continue our care for Giggle but of course this also comes with costs. With a sponsorship, you not only support Giggle, but also her animal-loving, poor family.
