Lema and Arathi

Lema was abandoned as a puppy together with her mother and two other siblings in front of our clinic. All three needed urgent medical attention. We successfully nursed them up.
Around the same time, Arathi came to us as a puppy.
The two little ones became friends in the clinic and we were happy when they found a Rehome place together. But the joy did not last long because the family did not take care of the dogs.
Since the two were now inseparable, we put them together in our social project DCC 50+. They have found a great home here and we check their conditions monthly. The needy family receives a monthly pension from us, with which they can take care of themselves as well as the dogs.
They were joined by our threelegged Benji.
Unfortunately, in July 2026, Lema was diagnosed with a painful tumor in her throat that made it impossible for her to swallow.
Lema was facing starvation because she could no longer eat, so with heavy hearts we had to let her go to spare her further suffering. Run free, dear Lema. We will never forget you.
