Matheo is representative of the suffering of thousands of dogs in Sri Lanka! As living alarm systems, they are chained up on the property and locked in a cage. They experience no love, no affection. Most aren't even fed properly.
Even Matheo almost starved to death in front of his owners! It became particularly perfidious when they brought the poor dog to us and asked us to put him down !! Of course we did NOT do that. Instead, we took Matheo in and got him back on his feet.
Of course, we didn't give Matheo back, but placed him in our DCC 50+ program instead. Here, his needy family receives a monthly pension to support Matheo and we personally check that he is doing well every month.
